The young chess player from Samara, Russia, Semen Elistratov became the conqueror of children’s international festival “Moscow -open 2008”.
In the competition participated 403 players from40 cities. Semen won the first place in the group of boys U9. In May the prodigy will leave for Greece, to play in the Cup of Europe.His mother Irina says: “If there are no worthy rivals, Semenit plays chess with himselves.”
At the Russia U8 chess championship Semen took third place among 430 players.
